Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus
Hebrews opens with a bold declaration: Jesus is better. In this message from Hebrews 1, we fix our eyes on who Jesus truly is. Jesus is God’s final Word, the radiance of his glory, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and the reigning King who has finished the work of our redemption. When life is hard, and we’re tempted to drift toward safer or familiar substitutes, Hebrews calls us back to clarity, not effort. There is no one and nothing better than Jesus.
Calvary on Mission
What God has done for us begins with grace, not effort. He stepped toward us first, made us new in Christ, and changed us from the inside out. That grace doesn’t just restore us, it reshapes how we live, how we see people, and why we share hope.
As we move into 2026, Calvary on Mission is a reminder that a church shaped by grace naturally becomes a church on mission. We don’t share Christ to earn God’s love. We share Christ because we are loved. Fueled by grace, the church is called to carry the gospel into everyday relationships, trusting that God is already at work both around the corner and around the world.
Worship the King
Christmas is not just about celebrating a birth, it’s about responding to a King. In Matthew 2, we see three very different reactions to Jesus: Herod’s fear, the religious leaders’ indifference, and the Magi’s worship. This message explores how Jesus, the True King, confronts our rival loyalties, draws unlikely worshipers, and establishes a kingdom that reaches the nations. The question remains: what is your response to the King?
Good News of Great Joy
Christmas isn’t just a tradition we repeat; it’s a moment that interrupts real life. In Luke 2, God sends angels to shepherds, not kings or religious leaders, to show us that this good news is for everyone. Jesus comes as Savior because we need rescue, and as King because we’re not meant to run life on our own. When we receive him, Christmas changes us, bringing peace with God, joy that isn’t based on circumstances, and a calling to share the good news with others.
