    Purpose: We are seeking a flexible and organized individual to join our Calvary Students team as an administrative assistant and events coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the student ministry staff and coordinating events, camps, and trips for our student ministry program.

    General Purpose: Each staff position at Calvary Church is a ministry position. All employees are responsible for supporting and furthering the vision of Calvary Church through the service of one another, our congregation, and our surrounding community.

    Key responsibilities:

    Admin

    - Schedule and organize meetings for the student ministry staff, including preparing 
agendas and taking minutes.

    - Manage and maintain the student ministry's correspondence, documents, metrics/reports, small groups, processes, project management software, Planning Center CRM, Clearstream database, and files, ensuring that all information is organized and easily accessible.

    - Communicate with students, parents, and volunteers by creating content about events and activities using a variety of methods such as email, social media, and texting platforms.

    - Process credit card receipts and manage the student ministry's financial records, including tracking income and expenses, preparing reports, and reconciling accounts.

    - Collaborate with other church departments to ensure seamless coordination, submitting necessary forms and requests.

    Events Coordination

    Event/Camp/Trips Coordination and assist in the process of coordinating events and activities for the student ministry program, including retreats, camps, conferences, and service projects. This may involve working with outside vendors, securing venues, managing budgets, tasks, and timelines, creating registration forms, set-up and tear down for special events.

    Secondary responsibilities at Calvary:

    - Develop personal relationships with staff and volunteers.

    - General office staff duties (phone, meetings, etc.)

    - Practice Calvary procedures and protocol

    If able but not required:

    - Create graphics and other visual materials to support the student ministry's communications and events

    Accountability

    - This role reports to the Pastor of Students

    Work Schedule: This is a full-time salaried position based upon an average of 40 hours per week. his position will involve minimal work aside from normal business hours, Monday – Friday. There may be an occasional event or camp the scheduling of work hours may be re-adjusted according to the needs of the ministry.

    Qualifications

    - Demonstrate enthusiasm for the mission and vision of Calvary and personally engage in a lifestyle of spiritual transformation through discipleship and community connection

    - Maintain a high level of organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor

    - Demonstrate initiative and the ability to take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed

    - Experience in event planning and coordination, including the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and logistics

    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and collaborative approach to problem-solving

    - Demonstrate excellence in work by taking pride in your tasks, paying attention to detail, and striving for continuous improvement

    - Proficiency with office software and databases, including email, calendar, and word-processing applications

  • Part-Time (20 Hours per week)

    Reports to Calvary Kids Pastor/Director

    Calvary Church is seeking a part-time (20 hr/wk) Kids Elementary Coordinator to oversee Sunday and Wednesday programming along with connection and outreach events and to serve the Souderton/Pennridge community with others on the Kids and Family staff, who is confident, highly organized, and detail-oriented, and capable of leading teams of volunteers to create a safe environment for kids and parents alike.

    The qualified candidate has/is:

    • Experience working with elementary-aged children

    • Ability to recruit and onboard volunteers

    • A positive attitude

    • A problem-solving skill set that complements the team

    • A teachable spirit that shows a willingness to learn and grow

    • Highly relational and works well with others

    • Organized with a strong work ethic

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in database management

    • Committed to the vision of Calvary Church and Calvary Kids

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Recruiting, training, evaluating, and caring for volunteers

    • Leading volunteers to create classroom and hallway spaces that are warm and welcoming, caring and loving, and safe and secure for kids and their parents

    • Partnering with parents in the spiritual development of their children through connection, conversation, play, prayer, and engaging Bible stories

    • Working with the Calvary Kids team in planning, organizing, promoting, and implementing programs and large events at both campuses

    • Be for the Souderton/Pennridge community and the people of those communities both at the campus and at community events

    Spiritual Criteria:

    • Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

    • Commitment to personal spiritual growth

    • Models standards and expectations of Calvary Church and its leadership

    • Attends service in person at least once a month

    Campus Services is currently accepting applications for a bi-weekly weekend position.

    The job involves room set-up and tear-down (requires heavy lifting), general cleanup, building security, all with attention to detail. The job calls for 8-20 hours on weekends per month. Calvary Church is a multi-generational, non-denominational church located in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Started in 1949, Calvary’s current congregation attends our two campuses in Souderton, PA and Quakertown, PA. Calvary is a grace-centered environment known for providing dynamic worship, relevant biblical teaching, missional outreach with a special focus on serving those with disabilities, and a passion for reaching the next generation. The church is led by a Senior Leader: Carlos Velez. Carlos reports to our board of elders, who provide ministry and governance oversight.

Located in Hilltown Township, PA (Bucks County), we are 12 miles from the beautiful county seat of Doylestown, and approximately 30 miles from Center City Philadelphia. Our location provides access to exceptional schools, a multitude of universities, and a modest drive to the beaches of New Jersey, the Pocono Mountains, and the Delaware River.
