Polar Bear Weekend is our middle school weekend of small group fun! It's a place where students can take a break from everyday life to have fun and ask big questions about life and faith. During this in-town retreat, students stay in local homes with families who have been preselected and screened for safety with their small groups and also gather together on campus for main sessions and meals. During free time, groups will participate in local activities such as paint ball, escape rooms, indoor sports, and so much more. Often, weekends away can be life changing in the lives of students as they experience Jesus and community. We hope you'll join us!

PLEASE NOTE: Please be prepared to submit your payment WITH your registration form. The registration form requires payment at the time of submission.

Our desire is that every student who wants to go to a Calvary retreat will be able to go, so we do offer scholarships for all of our retreats. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please follow these steps:

1. Fill out our scholarship application.

2. You will receive an email from Calvary Students within 1-2 weeks with the appropriate discount code for the scholarship that you were approved for.

3. After receiving the discount code, you can fill out the appropriate registration form. At the very end of the form, you will insert the discount code in the field that says ‘Scholarship Code’, which will allow you to pay a discounted price for the retreat.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m new to this…how do I sign my student up?

Welcome! All you need to do is complete the registration link above. We have everything listed that you need to do in order to be fully registered there. If you have any questions that are not addressed on that page, you can always contact us!

How will parents be contacted in case of an emergency?

Someone on staff will call the phone number you provided us on the registration form.

Really? No cell phones? What if my student needs to contact me or vice versa?

Yes. Really, no cell phones. All of our leaders will carry cell phones should the need to communicate arise. Please note that all student cell phones found will be confiscated until returning to Calvary Church, and unfortunately your student will not be permitted to attend the next CMS or CHS retreat as a consequence.

How can I contact my student in case of an emergency?

The emergency contact information will be given to you at check-in on the day of the retreat. You may also contact your student's small group leader if needed.

What if my child has a food allergy?

Please indicate this in your student’s registration.

I just filled out the online registration form. How do I know if it went through?

If it went through, you should get a confirmation email.

What if I did not receive a confirmation email?

If you did not receive a confirmation email, please email Calvary Students.

How do I pay?

You will be required to submit a payment in order to submit your student’s registration form. When you submit the form, you will be redirected to a Paypal page, where you can either pay with a credit card (guest checkout) or log into your Paypal account, if you have one, and pay that way.

Our plans changed, and my student had to drop out. Can we get a refund?

It depends. Once our final payment is due, Calvary pays the full amount for ALL students signed up at that time. Refunds will only be given before January 31. After this date, we no longer have your money or are able to get it back in order to refund you.

Okay, if I am not able to get a refund, can I find another student to take my student’s place?

Sure! Sometimes, we know of a student or two that would be interested. Please understand that Calvary is not responsible for finding a replacement for your student. If you know of someone, and they sign up in your student’s place, we just ask that you take care of payment with them on your own.

When is the latest that my student can pull out of camp?

Well, that depends. If you want a refund, they would need to pull out before registrations close on January 31. Otherwise, there is not technically a drop-out date, but it is extremely beneficial to all of us planning the retreat if we get this information at least two weeks before camp. But you don’t have to wait that long, either…the earlier we know, the better!

How do I cancel my student’s registration?

Cancellations must be sent in writing via email to Calvary Students and confirmed with a response email. Cancellations made between now and January 31 will receive a full refund. Cancellations sent after January 31 will receive no refund of any kind.
