“By the word of the Lord, the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.” – Psalm 33:6-9

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” – Psalm 139:13-16

One way we can know God is through his creation.

Stated another way, one way to know the Creator is through his creation. God’s creation is all around us; in fact, we ourselves are God’s creation. Read through the verses above and think through these questions.

1. Consider the immensity of the universe. What does that teach you about God?

2. Consider the intricacies of the human body. What does that teach you about God?

3. The God who created the galaxies also purposefully created you. How does that make you feel?

4. Going forward, how can creation help you know the Creator more deeply?
