Divorce Recovery
Spring Session for 2010
Weekly Support Groups for Adults, Teens and Children
March 11-June 10, 2010
Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Hope Ministries of Calvary Church offers a divorce recovery program designed to offer hope and healing to adults, teens, and children going through the pain of separation and divorce.
DivorceCare®
DivorceCare® for adults is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Led by others who understand what you are going through, DivorceCare® provides valuable resources to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.
The Big D
The Big D designed for 12-18 year olds promotes identifying and finding the strength to accept and heal from the various hurts and confusion a divorce can cause. It begins with denial, pushes through anger issues, and ends with the freedom to understand and experience true forgiveness.
Through this weekly program, the desire is that your teen will leave a changed person who has the tools to navigate his or her future, with God’s help.
Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K)
DC4K is a special group to help children ages 5-12 heal from the hurt caused by the separation or divorce of their parents. At our weekly DC4K group, kids make friends with other kids who understand how they feel and the things they are going through becaseu of the dicorce of their parents.
Best of all, children learn how God’s love can strengthen them and help them turn their tears to hope and joy!
Parents are encouraged to be involved with their children as they go through DC4K. Each parent will receive a weekly “Parent Page” describing what their child has learned and offering tips to strengthen the parent/child relationship.
DC4K follows the same schedule and age-appropriate themes as the adult DivorceCare® program, allowing parents and children to progress through the healing process together and providing a springboard for meaningful discussions.
