The "ZONE" in Calvary's KidZONE is an acrostic that communicates the primary ministry experiences we seek to provide in our programming. The ZONE is an adventure where kids learn a ZEAL for God, build ONENESS through relationships, are NURTURED with the Truth, and are challenged to EXPRESS to others their love for Christ through service and evangelism.
Our Mission is to partner with parents in introducing children to Jesus Christ and in helping them become more like Him.
The HEART of Calvary's Kidzone
In a child's mind, we believe that church should rank right up there with ball games and ice cream, not cavities and flu shots. With this in mind, we have designed an environment that creatively and energetically engages children in experiences aimed at nurturing their young faith. We strive to be a resource that children love and parents trust.
Central to our philosophy is that children are very important to God; therefore, we are dedicated to communicating His care for them by embodying the following seven values: Safety, God-Centered Focus, Fervent Prayer, Excellence in Ministry, Relevant Bible Teaching, Child-Targeted, and Biblical Community. These seven values serve as guides to all our decisions and behaviors within the context of our ministry to children.
Security
Providing a safe and loving environment is of utmost importance to us. We require security checks for our children's workers and use a check-in and check-out safety-clip system for newborns through kindergarteners. If your child needs you during the church service, his/her security number (printed on your safety clip) will be flashed on the black monitor boxes in the auditorium, Heritage Hall, the Parents' Room and Mr. B's Coffeehouse. Only an adult with the correct safety clip may claim your child - no exceptions!
