PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Prayer shawls were started in
1988 by Janet Bristow and Victoria Galo. They combine caring and the
love of knitting into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in
need of comfort. The knitter begins each shawl with prayers for the
recipient. This is continued during the entire time of the construction
of the shawl. When completed a group will pray for the recipient. The
shawl is given to the recipient and a blessing given.
Who would receive these shawls?
Whoever God leads us to give them to. These can be people with severe
illness, cancer, loss of a loved one, or personal problems that prayer
and caring would help. In time we may be able to give to other causes
like birth of a child, weddings, graduations, and baptism.
Who should I contact with questions?

Who is welcome to join us?
Anyone who knits, crochets, sews or weaves. Anyone who would like to
learn to knit or crochet. Anyone who would like to be a part of a
prayer ministry. Anyone who would like to donate yarn to our group.
Everyone who will pray for us and the people God asks us to pray and
care for.
