We all need guidance from time to time. Not necessarily professional counseling but someone who is spiritually mature - and can provide spiritual guidance in growing your relationship with God.

Calvary's mentoring ministry is designed to provide a trained mentor to come alongside those in the church family who are ready to take the next step in growing towards spiritual maturity.

Mentors' Basic Seminar

Are you an encourager? Do you like to support people as they seek to follow God well? Then consider attending our annual Basic Seminar for mentors. You'lll find this training to be useful, both for experienced mentors or for those who have never done mentoring before. At this workshop, you learn about:

* The 3 keys steps in beginning a mentoring relationship

* The most common pitfalls mentors make as they begin a mentoring relationship

* What research reveals about the 3 essential elements in sustaining a relationship

* What is needed for your mentoree to make good use of your help

* How to know when to end the mentoring relationship

* Why asking for help - such as to be mentored - is so hard

Not only will you learn helpful information, you'll get to meet others who share your passion for mentoring. You'll also receive our Basic Mentoring workbook. Please note that attending the workshop does not obligate you to be on our Mentoring Team. However, it is required to be part of the team.

The Basic Workshop will be offered only once in 2008

Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 9:00 am to noon in room 218 at Calvary Church.

(218 is a new classroom located in the atrium near the new Resource Center)
