MORE than MEALS is a ministry that seeks to personify Christ’s compassion by providing short-term support, in the form of meals, to Calvary Church attendees in the event of a new baby, surgery or illness. Our vision is to form groups of volunteers, called Community Care Teams, in each of the areas that comprise the Calvary Church population. Each Community Care Team will consist of a care coordinator and care team members who have signed up to deliver meals to needy families who live in their area. This way, no one will have to travel very far to deliver meals, and we will have the opportunity to build relationships with our Calvary neighbors

The response to our request for help with this ministry has been great, and we have been able to respond to a number of needs already. We could still use your help though. Please consider joining us as we seek to encourage and support others in our church family. We need volunteers who know how to cook as well as those who don’t. It doesn’t really matter what you make (or buy) because when you provide a meal for a family, you are showing them Christ’s love and compassion. As the name of this ministry implies, it’s about much more than just the meals…

MORE than MEALS is about:

• • sharing the love of Christ in a practical way
• • building relationships with your Calvary Church neighbors
• • providing the care and support of a small church within our large church setting

Opportunities to Serve:

1. Care Coordinators – Coordinate the delivery of meals for their team.

2. Care Team Members – Provide meals for families in their area.
